From Fat to Fit

Time to shed that extra fat you have around your waist, arms and thighs. If you keep on complaining that effective workouts will last for a long time then try this easy to follow steps in improving your body tone.

Small start is smart. Studies have shown that those who work their small muscles first before the large ones were able to progress into more heavy exercises smoothly. They do not easily get tired and they seldom experience muscle cramps. They also do not experience shortness of breath and their lung capacity improves effectively.

Fast and small. Make your moves smaller and do it faster. For example in doing a sit-up, you lie down flat on the floor with your knees bent. Your hands are in the back of your head. Then you crunch up making your elbows touch your knees but instead of doing this, lift your upper body halfway from the floor to your knees then do this repeatedly in a fast manner. Small and fast movements fatigue your muscles faster and better.

Stop and pose. There are certain body positions that would allow the muscles to have its optimum contraction. Let’s use the sit-up as an example. You do the crunch part for about 12 times and on the twelfth time, hold your position for about 5 seconds before you lie back down and relax.

Brake it away. Just like in driving a vehicle, you do not abruptly hit the brake you need to do it slowly. From your last position, move to a relax position but do it nice and slow. Doing it this way before progressing to another exercise form will keep tension in the muscles making it burn more calories.

Concentration is the solution. In doing any forms of exercise, focus on the muscle that you want to tone so badly. Say for example if you want to tone your abdomen then do sit-ups or crunching; if you want to tone your thighs and butt then do squatting more often.

These steps will not only give you the body that you’ve always wanted, but also it will save much of your time. You can start now or later but one thing’s for sure you can do this anywhere.
